#1) My nickname really is Pie. If you ask anyone around town where Pie lives most of them would be able to tell you.

#2) I had my tonsils removed when I was 28 and it was the worst experience of my life. It hurt more than having a C-section. Had I known it would be so bad I wouldn't have done it for a thousand bucks.( maybe ten thousand but definitely not a thousand )

#3) I can not function without my lipstick.

#4) Unlike Miss CarrotCake, I eat chocolate everyday. Seriously everyday. I was on a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup roll for a while. But lately it's been Almond Joys. I ate two every night this week at work. Yeah I guess sometimes you do feel like a nut and sometimes you don't.

#5) I love a man in cowboy boots.

You know I don't like to live my life waiting for the weekend but with this past week that's exactly what I've been doing. I am so glad this week is over.

I wish I had big plans for the weekend. Some way to let off a little steam. I wish Rog and I could take a quick weekend getaway. Take a long drive and end up anywhere. Just pick a direction and go. But I can't I have RCIA class on Saturday mornings. I am the sponsor for a young woman joining the church and I need to be there. Oh well another weekend maybe. The classes will be over after Easter and I'll have more free time on the weekends.

A couple of years ago we took a four day weekend pointed the car west and took off. We stopped when and where we wanted. We spent a day in Madison county looking at the covered bridges. You know where they filmed the movie, based on Robert James Wallers novel "The Bridges of Madison County". They are really beautiful. There is only one or two left that you can drive across. Rog and I were the only ones at Roseman's Bridge and I gotta tell you it was pretty romantic. I didn't get to see Francesca's house though.

Winterset is the county seat of Madison county and we stopped by John Waynes house. I'm not a huge Duke fan, but hey we were in the neighborhood. Actually there was a lot of movie memorabilia there that was kind of neat to see. I was surprised by the number of visitors there the day we stopped in. Bus loads.

We stopped at small towns and looked through their antique shops and ate at little out of the way diners. We splurged and stayed at some nice hotels. We drank beer in small bars and nice lounges. We laughed a lot. It was a nice road trip and it was relaxing. Rog was funny and sweet and I fell in love with him all over again that weekend.

Also my husband has to work the day shift for a few months ( he usually works second ) and it has thrown my routine off. It's nice having him home in the evenings but not something I'm used to. I'm hoping to get sometime to catch up with everyone friday morning when I get off work and Rog will still be at work. I hope everyone is well. Missing you. Hugs.

Well Woogs has settled himself back down and promises that Prank will be back with us soon. We can all breathe a lot easier now. Woogie is a fiesty little guy but not a simpleton and knows when to admit defeat. Now I suppose the stream can get back to business. Um....What exactly is that? Oh yeah writing. That's right.

I've been paddling around the stream tonight and ran across a number of interesting blogs. love love love caught my eye because it is written by a fellow Iowan. The first I've seen here. This is a nice woman who could use some support by the sound of it. I liked her. Jed over at The Medic Diaries is a young man working 4 or 5 jobs and going to school to be a nurse, But I think he is leaning towards going on to medical school instead. Lots of good reading here in the stream. Bartleby Scrivening has an excellent story going on. I liked it a lot. Just wish I could give credit to whoever first recommended it. I think it may have been Dazey. My apologies if I'm wrong. Well I'm going to keep swimming around the stream. Hugs.
