Scratch pointed out to me that there is another blog out there with the same title as mine minus the question mark at the end. So I checked it out. We both started our blogs on the same day. I posted mine 12 hours before hers though. I am sure she didn't know there was already one titled this since unless you'd look at the blog list you probably wouldn't have seen it.
I answered Scratch in my comment section that I supposed I could change mine. I came up with "A slice of Pie" or "A piece of Pie" or "Pie in the sky". Stuart helped me out with "American Pie" ,"Humble Pie' or"Sweetie Pie" What do you all think? Keep it, change it? A different title all together? Where's Diesel when I need him? He is great with a quick come back. Any help?

BTW it's 14 degrees here in the corn field. I am going to bed and snuggle my honey and steal some of his body heat. BBRRRR!

I just finished reading Debunkem's blog. He told of a woman whose daughter had been murdered and how this woman went to see him(the murderer) while in prison to forgive him.
Now it is no secret that Debunkem is an atheist. And that is his right.I will not knock him for it. But his story made me remember a show about a young woman who was murdered. After hearing what her murderer said I thought "This is another example of Gods work"
The story was on one of those news shows, I can't remember which one now but I will NEVER forget her.The story went something like this:

A young woman had stopped at a gas station to get gas as she went into pay two teenage boys got in her car. After she had gotten back into her car they surprised her,over took her and made her drive them to a secluded area. They took the woman out of her car then they each raped and beat her. When they had hurt this woman enough they decided to kill her. They tied her hands behind her back and forced her to her knees. The boy that was telling all this to the reporter is also the one who ultimately pulled the trigger. But he said as he put the gun to the back of her head she looked up at him with love in her eyes and told him" God forgives you and I do too." The kid pulled the trigger. I was (am) in awe of this young woman's faith. I thought my God most of us would be crying and pleading for our lives and she offers these two boys her forgiveness! Astonishing! I do believe she was, and so they also must have been, in the presence of God. Or maybe I want that to be so. I can't imagine being that forgiving. I hope I would be but I can't really think that I would.
Now to me this is another example of God's love. But some will see it as another reason Not to believe in God,for if He is real why did He cause this to happen? Yes some people still believe God causes evil things to happen. I guess not everyone understands freewill means having the power to do good or evil. That the choice is ours. Hence freewill. I am not one of those that can quote scripture or argue theology for hours. I am only a believer. With proof all around me.
This beautiful young woman will forever be in my heart. An inspiration to me. No one ever had to ask if she believed, she lived it and she died it.

Did you ever have one of those days where you just have nothing to say? Not one dang thang interesting or amusing has happened that day? No funny or inspiring memories come to mind? Can't write poem or a story to save your soul? Didn't talk to some long lost friend or relative on the phone? Nothin'. I got nothin'. Well there's always tomorrow.........

Another tornado, another life lost. My state was hit this past weekend. An elderly woman lost her life. She was doing exactly as we are taught to do ,go to the basement when there is a storm. Her house collapsed upon her.
Two small farming communities were hit hard. It is amazing that out of all the the damage only one life was lost.

It is also amazing that there was a tornado in November in Iowa. Strange. We are expected now to get a little snow this week. But it will be COLD. Down to 18 tomorrow night. It will make clean up difficult for a community already reeling. I will keep them in my prayers.

When I got home this morning and woke my husband up he said "wow I was dreaming you were going to become a professional hockey player and we were on our way to get you fitted for your pads." This made me laugh pretty hard. And it got me to thinking about some of the dreams I've had.
I don't know if I believe that dreams have hidden meaning or not. I mean what can the dream I had about riding up and down and up and down in an elevator holding a green bean casserole mean? I have had dreams that seemed so real that I've had to ask my husband if I dreamt it or if it really happened.I had a dream that he cheated on me with my best friend that was so real that I was still pissed off at him when I woke up.I have had dreams that absolutely terrified me. In one I was being chased through a house by a knife wielding murderer I remember what the rooms looked like as I was running through them and I can remember waking up crying and screaming.. And some dreams are so stupid I just wake up thinking what the hell was that about? Funny thing dreams.
