Walking through Menards pushing the giant over sized cart.
Following my husband up and down aisles of plumbing parts
electrical thingy's, various power tools which he looks at with a gleam in his eyes.
Oopps meet up with another woman pushing another giant over sized cart and following her husband.
We each push our giant over sized carts as close to the over stacked shelves as we dare and try to slide by one another.
We smile at each other. In silent commiseration.
We almost make it past each other only to have the back wheels of the giant over sized carts catch on each others.
We each smile a little wider. Dang these Giant over sized carts I say.
Yes she says they are sure hard to maneuver.
We unlock our wheels and go to catch up with our husbands.
We go up and down aisles.Looking for caulk and light bulbs and things we really need.
Finally my husband finishes his list.I wheel the giant over sized cart to the checkout counter.
We load all the items now bagged back in to the giant over sized cart and I push it out to the truck.
When my husband finishes loading the bags in to the truck I push that ridiculously giant over sized cart to the cart corral.
I'm glad to done with it. I climb into the truck slam the door shut and ask can we go to Burger king now?

I miss you D. You have been floating in and out like a blogstream phantom. Your not here but I've seen where you've been. I am hoping you'll stumble on to this so you'll know we are all rooting for you to do well and be happy. I hope the job works out great. I have seen your comments on blogs here and there. I thought it was way cool of you to step in and defend Dazey. She didn't deserve that verbal beating. It's just nice to see your name around now and then. Well buddy take your time and take it easy. Just know you've got a whole bunch of friends in your corner wishing you well.Love ya,Pie

My Brother in law was an alcoholic and a 2 pack a day smoker. Last fall just before Thanksgiving he noticed that his skin was taking on a yellow hue and that he was feeling like his skin was kind of crawling, very itchy. He went to see a doctor right away and went through a battery of tests. It turned out to be cancer in the bile duct of his liver.
The doctors at the university didn't give him a very good prognosis. They basically told him it was inoperable and that chemo may buy him some time. He and my sister decided to go to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion.
It turned out that they were able to do surgery and resect the duct. Kenny went through chemo and radiation. He completely stopped drinking and smoking at the same time. Not an easy feat for an alcoholic even if you have been diagnosed with cancer. I am so proud of him.
After the chemo and radiation he was cancer free. Kenny and my sister have 4 kids and 12 grandkids and they really pulled him through a lot of it.He has been going to Mayo every three months since then for checkups. This thanksgiving was supposed to be a real celebration for him. That was until this past Wed.when he went for another check up.

His cancer is back and he is going to have to go through chemo again. He is taking it pretty well. I think my sister is having a worse time of it. She is frightened. I would be too.
Kenny asked the doctor if it was bad enough that he could start drinking and smoking again. The doc said not even close. I'm taking that as a good sign.

Well thats it I'm changing it. She has faked me out twice now. I think it's my blog coming up and it's hers. So my blog shall hence forth be titled Dum Dum dee dum (my idea of a drum roll) "A Slice of Pie" .I checked no other slices of pie out there.

I hope you'all will find me again. I am keeping "I am pie'.
