Happy Halloween All!!

Wow so many great lines to end my poem. Wish I could have gotten back to it sooner. The date was good,but saturday I started getting these horrible hives.Ended up in the emergency room about 11:00p.m. I've been running a temp. and had hives from the top of my head to the souls of my feet. I missed work last night and Still not feeling great but better at least.I didn't eat anything different or use any different products so the Doc. thought it my be an infection since I had a temp. I'm going to try to get to work tonight.So think I'll go take a nap.Be well friends.Pie

Dried up roses pressed in a book.
Forgotten by her in a place she never looks.

She used to read it faithfully and never missed a day.
But that all changed when the war took her man away.

He never came back home to her,for that she can't forgive.
She lost her heart,her hope,and she lost her will to live.

Shes angry and she wants to blame God for her loss.
She's forgotten that He died too, upon a wooden cross.

If only she could remember that He died to give us life.
????Stuck on the last line, any ideas out there???

Another new day just full of possibilities! Hey guess what.I got me a hot date tonight!! Were talkin' dinner and a movie,the whole works!! I got a call late the other night from a real good lookin' man. Asking me if I'd like to go out on a date with him? Heck Yeah!! Aren't I the lucky girl? Twenty six years together and he still calls me for a date.

Yup I'm smiling....

Wow driving home this morning from work I was blessed to watch the most awesome sunrise I've seen in a while! BEAUTIFUL!!There was a frost on the ground too and it made it look like millions of diamonds had been left glittering on the ground. It filled me with gratitude to be alive on a fine morning like this.

It reminded me of something my sister had told me over the weekend. She said the minister at her church gave a sermon on gratitude and on complaining all the time. He said people complain so much and forget to be grateful for all that we have. She said it was a great sermon and she decided right then that she was not going to complain about even one thing that Sunday. She gathered up her things to leave after church, walked outside and turned to her husband and said "Boy it sure was cold in there today wasn't it?" She was mad at herself because she'd barely made it out of the church before a complaint was on her lips.

It's so easy to do though isn't it? But then when I see a sunrise like the one this morning it makes me feel so alive and happy and grateful. I think Geeze girl what in the world have you got to complain about? You've got a husband who loves you, a terrific daughter and son-in-law, a great family,a home, a good job,your health, you are blessed. So no complaints from me today Lord, I'm doin' just fine.

I've never seen your faces,where you live or met your kin

Yet here I am not hesitant to count you as my friends

We interact by keystrokes that separate the miles

We hope to make each other think or dream or smile

We've become a little family and I for one can say

That sometimes just checking in on you all may be the highlight of my day

So thanks to you my friends for the words that you have wrote

They may have been a story, a poem or even a joke

But I've took a little something away from each you

And hope that I have made you think or maybe smile too.
